STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Rab Wilkinson Foundation has announced the 2nd Annual Rock ‘n Bowl for Our Vets Live Music Event, which will be held at Rab’s Country Lanes on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023 at 1 p.m.
The event of music and entertainment follows the success of the inaugural event in 2022, which raised $20,000 for local veterans and projects supporting U.S. veterans.
The 2023 event will be hosted by Todd Piro, FOX News personality, and will feature five favorite local bands who will rock out on the lanes: Aftermath, American Cover Story, DOC Holiday, Fast Forward, and Johnny Fish & The Fins, and other special guests.
Frank Wilkinson, proprietor of Rab’s and chairman of the Rab Wilkinson Foundation, is excited about the music tradition and raising much-needed funds for programs that give back to those who have selflessly served our country.
“We are thrilled to host the 2nd Annual Rock ‘n Bowl for our Vets Live Music Event and build on the success of last year’s inaugural event,” he said. “It is truly gratifying to see our community come together to support our veterans and contribute to local projects and services that make a difference in their lives.
Bowlers are encouraged to pre-register to secure a two-hour bowling window and make a minimum donation of $50. In return, bowlers will receive pizza, soda and an exclusive event t-shirt. However, everyone is welcome to attend, even if they do not wish to bowl.
For a $25 donation, individuals can purchase a “Groupie” Pass, which includes event access, pizza and soda. Additionally, a VIP Pass is available for a $100 donation, granting attendees access to VIP seating, bowling, pizza, soda and exclusive event swag.
As a token of appreciation for their service, all veterans and active military will receive a complimentary Groupie pass.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Rab Wilkinson Foundation-sponsored “Rock ‘n Bowl for Veterans” staged Sunday at Rab’s Country Lanes directly benefits members of the military through projects and programs.
The afternoon of live music, raffles and other fun activities saw five popular Staten Island bands rock the house and take center stage on the lanes, including DOC Holiday, Johnny Fish and the Fins, Radio Waves, American Cover Story, and Kismet.
“This unique event brings bowling and music together for a full day of fun to give back to those who gave so much to us.,” said Rab Wilkinson, foundation chair, and Rab’s proprietor, Frank Wilkinson. “The event honors all who have served, and of course, all of those who continue to serve. My father, Rab, served our country proudly through service in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964 in Chalons Vatry, France. The inaugural event honored his service along with all of those from Staten Island who have sacrificed for our freedom.”
Bowlers received pizza, soda, and a T-shirt for their minimum donation of $50. All veterans were awarded a complimentary “groupie pass.”
“This inaugural event was amazing,” added Wilkinson. “The support from our community for our veterans was outstanding — as all came out to rock with us to give back to those who have been a major part of keeping our country free and safe. We owe it to these fine men and women to take care of them and the Rab Wilkinson Foundation is committed to doing so for years to come. A new tradition started yesterday. Mark your calendars for Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023.”
